ANNAPOLIS, MD — ViaGlobal Group, LLC is
proud to announce the appointment of Jody Nacy as Director of
Training at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center
(KASOTC).
Jody Nacy has over thirty years of leadership
and management experience as an elite special operations soldier
and non-commissioned officer.. He has served for both the 5th
Special Forces Group in Fort Bragg, and Detachment A with the
Berlin Brigade in Germany. While at Fort Bragg, Nacy served as
the Selection and Training Sergeant Major, where he supervised
recruiting, training and retention. As Combat Development Directorate
Sergeant Major, it was his duty to direct, supervise and coordinate
the efforts of the Breaching Cell, Explosive Ordnance Disposal
(EOD) Cell, Development Cell, Training and Evaluation Cell, Research
and History Section, as well as other special projects.
Nacy has also had success managing a $30 million
range and training complex, served as a J2 liaison officer in
UNISOM II, and initiated the stand-up of the first standing Advance
Force Operations element. Mr. Nacy has served with both the 1st
Special Forces Group (Airborne) and the 3rd Battalion, 1st Special
Forces Group (Airborne) as Command Sergeant Major at Fort Lewis.
While there, he conducted successful counter-insurgency, foreign
internal development, and counter-terrorist operations. Nacy’s
command and control element was responsible for freeing an American
hostage.
As Senior Enlisted Leader of the Joint Special
Operations Command (JSOC), Mr. Nacy was the principle advisor
to four general officers and six interagency seniors. He was the
Senior Enlisted Leader for a 15,000-person interagency organization.
Jody served as a Combined Joint Interagency Task Force Command
Sergeant Major for 46 months supporting decisive full spectrum
combat operations in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
Over a remarkable 33-year career of combat soldiering,
Mr. Nacy has received the Defense Superior Service Medal, the
Legions of Merit, the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service
Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation
Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, 14 combat tour hash marks
(six months each), various service and unit medals, the Combat
Infantryman’s Badge with Star, and several foreign badges.
